Elder Bednar

We had a wonderful surprise at church last Sunday! Elder Bdenar of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles came to teach our combined Priesthood and Relief Society meeting!

Adam and I teach the 17-18 year old Sunday school class. Our Bishop came in right as we were about to start class and told us that he had a special project for our class. He assigned the members in our class to teach all of the primary classes so that all of the adults in the ward could meet with Elder Bednar.

We rushed into the meeting to get good seats and sat on the front row right in front of his wife and him. He spent the whole hour with us teaching principles and expounding on doctrine. It was wonderful to be in his presence and to feel comfortable next to him. It was the chance of a lifetime to be so close to him in such an intimate setting.

"Baby It's Cold Outside!"

We had to get our coats out, cause the winter coldness is here!

And the coldness that's here reminds us of one of our favorite winter songs!

"I really can't stay - Baby it's cold outside I've got to go away - Baby it's cold outside This evening has been - Been hoping that you'd drop in So very nice - I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice My mother will start to worry - Beautiful, what's your hurry My father will be pacing the floor - Listen to the fireplace roar So really I'd better scurry - Beautiful, please don't hurry well Maybe just a half a drink more - Put some music on while I pour..........."

"Walkin' in Memphis!"

We just returned from a much needed trip to see our family in Memphis! We had so much fun- thanks Ginns! Jamie and Dallas came in from California too, so we had the whole family together for several days and it was Heaven!

Grandma Ginn enjoyed time with her first granddaughter...

Uncle John taught Naomi many things....

Dad set up a bonfire and we all had a fun roasting smores in the backyard.... I only had 4!
We ate at the Draper's new restaurant, and it was sooo good. My barbeque pizza was very tasty! We wil return ASAP!

Grandpa Ginn played with Naomi....
So did Uncle Dallas....

And so did Aunt Jamie.....
We visited Leslie and her classroom at St. Agnes....
And Naomi had a photo shoot.... This trip was Naomi's first plane ride and first time in Memphis, or anywhere out of Utah, and I think she enjoyed the adventure and the many kisses that she got while she met so many friends and family!
Mom and her friends had a baby shower for us because most of her friends had not yet seen Naomi and they also wanted to congratulate Jamie and her baby that is on the way. It was a such a fun night and a great idea from Momma Ginn and her friends! We got to catch up with our Memphis friends that we haven't seen in a while.

Naomi and Jamie's little boy got such fun gifts!
