Chuck-E-Cheese's

For Naomi's actual birthDAY, we went to chuck-e-cheese's. Naomi has been talking about going there for a while, so this seemed like a great time to make the trip.
It's fun to have kids at the age where they really enjoy outings like this!

Naomi loved the rides and games
McKay loved the pizza
playing games with dad
ski-ball with mom
these girls played so hard! the would ask us, "can we have another penny?",
when each ride was over. it was pretty adorable.
aunt lynsie came to see us!
one tired girl
We've realized that since both of our kids' birthdays are in the same week it kind of turns into a party week. not a bad thing and we sure had fun this year! can't wait for the many great years to come!
we sure love our kids!

Texas Roadhouse with Joy School

Naomi's Joy School class visited Texas Roadhouse where they learned how to make rolls! It was a blast! They did so many fun things and were so patient with the girls.

Cowgirl
washing hands before we got started
ellie and naomi
getting creative, and chowin down on m&ms!
creating her own bread
taking the bread to the rack so it could be baked
The whole group, (minus Miriam who was sick=( )
Any pre-school type class can go and do the tour. It was so much fun and they even fed us lunch!

Party Time!

This past Saturday was a major party at The Chase House. We had so much fun all day celebrating out awesome kids! Naomi and McKay's birthdays are so close that we decided to have combined parties this year. The friend's party was first, then we had a family party.

I'm never good at remembering to take pictures but I got a few throughout the day...

Some of Naomi's cute friends that came to party....I love Na's face in this one
Blowing out the candles
another funny Na face
two suckers at a time
mac in mickey ears...
McKay usually takes his morning naps from about 10 to 11:30 or 12. And of course on his birthday he would not go to sleep! He finally went down at 11:30 and slept through most of the party.

Sorry that my kids don't like to look at the camera and Naomi won't smile for the camera very often, so these aren't the best pictures, but they're "real life" i guess. enjoy!

Sharing her peas...

One day at lunch I gave the kids their food, got them settled and as they ate I was in cleaning mode, so I was in and out of the kitchen. I was in the next room and heard Naomi saying in the sweetest voice ever heard, "You can have all of these, McKay. They are very yummy. You can have ALL of them!" So I walked in to see what was happening and this is what I found...
She was gladly sharing her peas with McKay! They are so "yummy" that she wanted to share them all. When I came in to see what she was doing, she quickly told me, "Mom, I'm sharing with McKay!" She was very proud to be sharing with her brother and thought she was out-smarting us all.
You can see that he has already practically licked his plate clean, and now he has to eat more peas! He did eat some but not quite as many as she gave him....
Showing off a shared pea...
being silly
"yay! more food!"

My Birthday and Valentine's Day

Adam is the best at planning fun birthdays. My birthday is the day before Valentine's so usually it's something really fun. This year we went snowmobiling!
Adam drove most of the time and I was the grandma sitting in the back of the snowmobile but it was really fun to ride together. (and last time I was driving the 4 wheeler (kind of the same thing right?) we almost went off a cliff, seriously, cause it was really heavy and I couldn't control it very well.)
Anyways, It was so much fun! We need to go again soon.
It was snowing the day we went out and when we hit 10,000 feet it was a totaly white-out. We couldn't see the paths at all, and we couldn't see the view from the mountain, but it was still really pretty on the paths and exploring the mountains with my hubby.

On the mountain...
driving along....
I thought this would look cooler than it does. This is Adam going down a big hill. You can see the people down below watchin him be crazy...

At the end of the trails is a huge open field. It was fun to watch the experienced people doing crazy stunts. And I actually drove the snowmobile in the open field, cause we couldn't fall off a cliff there.
snow angel
When I stepped off to make a snow angel my foot sank like 4 feet. Once again can't really tell in the pictures.
We were laughing pretty hard trying to walk in such deep snow.
Thanks to Larissa for all of the warm clothes!! =)....And Adam for such a great time!...And all those involved in watching our kids while we were gone. =)
