December and Christmas....It's been a while since I've updated

It has been too long since I've blogged but we've had a great Thanksgiving, December, and Christmas.
I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
our kids are still very active................

first ugly Christmas sweater party of the season, it was hilarious! Adam gave a signed 8x10 photo of himself for the white elephant exchange that people actually fought over. the guy in the pic, glen, ended up with it and it's now in his cubicle at work! These are the host and hostess, they never hold still so I just had to take an action shot.

 Bishop and his wife won the contest. He had some kind of Christmas tree hat thing going on, and she was rockin some silver tights. they are both very conservative so that's why we were so stunned.

we just went for the "matchy" turtleneck look. and yes they are women's

one day naomi was pretending that she was hatching out of an egg for like an hour. it was makin me laugh

she loves the nativities.............

A Weekend Away...

Adam got us a sweet trip to The Boulders in Scottsdale, AZ so that's where we spent the last weekend before his surgery.

The guys golfed alot and we girls went to the spa. They gave us a $250 gift card to the spa!!!

even though it doesn't go very far at such an expensive and nice place,

(I'm used to my $30 pedicures and their cheapest was $80, but yes I did get one!).

Mike and Terri were on the trip, too, so it was a blast to be able to spend time with my mother-in-law and get pampered at the same time. She and I got massages that were unbelievable! Sorry no pics from that. =)

The boys had a great time golfing for hours-which I will personally never understand,

but more power to ya guys!

Ever heard of a Jumping Cactus? One night we were walking to dinner and I barely brushed by a cactus and it jumped into my knee! The first thing that Adam and Terri did was get out their phones to take a picture and I was screaming, "get it out! get it out!" It hurt so bad! I had no idea that if you get remotely close to them they'll attack you. Later that night, someone told us about "jumping cacti" and we made the connection. Anyways, moral of the story, don't walk anywhere near a cactus.

When we got back to our room that night my knee was swollen and I needed to document it... 

The place is really cool, each "room" is a little casita, and they have all kinds of shops and restaurants-one is called the spotted donkey-why they chose that name for a restaurant is beyond me. Thinking of donkeys does not make me want to indulge myself into some yummy food.

 I sure want one of these vanities in my house, someday......
