Last night Naomi was jumping on great-grandma Davis's bed and plopped down on her arm wrong, and yes, she put her elbow out of socket! Ouch! She cried for so long but didn't show any signs of being hurt anywhere, and she can't communicate well enough to tell us what's happening, so we just took her home and laid down with her and soon put her to bed. She was grumpy, but some nights that just how she is!
So this morning we figured that something was wrong when she wouldn't use her left hand-AT ALL! And she had her arm tucked up against her belly. So off to the doctor we went.
When we got there the doctor knew what was wrong right away. She said it was called "Nursemaid Elbow" and is very common in children. Naomi was such a good girl while the doctor popped her elbow back into place. It took a few tries to get it done, and, yes, it made quite an interesting popping sound, but right after she had instant relief! Thank goodness! Poor girl.
It was so sweet to see her handle it so well. She cried when it was set back into place but other than that she was pretty calm and so sweet to just sit there and deal with the pain. We love our little Naomi. (Or if you ask her, her name's "Na Na".)

Thats so sad!! Such a brave little girl!
Oh man! My brother would accidentally pull out his little girls elbows all the time, that he learned how to put it back himself!
Naomi is a trooper!!
