Little Mac is 10 months!

Time for an update on our cute little guy. We love him so much!

Some things to look back and remember about these 10-month-old days:
-McKay, You love to make noise! I think you'll be a drummer one day. You're always banging on something. And I need to add that you have quite the lungs. We thought Naomi was loud til you opened up and showed us what you've got.
-If you have something in your hand, whether it's toy or snack, one of two things will happen-you'll eat it, or you'll throw it. Nothing in between.
-You are a pro at crawling backwards, and have been for at least 2 months now. You still army crawl forward, but I will admit you get where you're going fast.
-You are trying to pull yourself up into a standing position. Once you're there you are happy as can be.
-You've always been a great sleeper. And you NEVER wake up cranky, if you do it's cause you need to go back to sleep, and so we let you. =)
-You love your daddy so much. When he's in the room he's all you want to look at. I'm sure the relationship  started before this life. You two are such great buddies!
-I love your bald head. It's the softest thing ever to touch.
-Your sister loves you now, despite the taking of toys that we still can't totally control. If you are sad she says, "It's ok, Mac, I'm here." I hope that's the friendship you two will always have!
-I love to watch you grow each day. I am so blessed to have you in my life!
We love you so much. You are a miracle baby and we will always remember how lucky we are to have you in our lives.

Just a few pics from Christmas morning

Christmas was so great this year. It was a blast to have kids to share it with. Here they are opening some presents.

If you're wondering why I'm not in any of the pictures, well that's because I was up all Christmas Eve throwing up and I'm sure I was scary to look at. Terrible timing, but at least it got a little better for the next day.

Adoption is "All About Love!"

My brother and his wife feel that adoption is the right avenue to start their family. If you know of anyone that would be interested, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take time to get to know this wonderful couple! Or pass this info to those who might be able to use it. Bill and Leslie are going to be the best parents! Just look at those smiles!
I can't imagine the difficult road adoption places in front of the birth parents and adopting parents, but I KNOW that adoption can bless all of those involved. Our Heavenly Father is so wonderful. This is such a grand opportunity for all of us to use our faith, and have the baby that has been chosen before this life to be in Bill and Leslie's family, and sent to their family in a unique way.
(Below is their adoption profile info.)
Taken from Bill and Leslie's blog:
"We recently updated our adoption profile. Please feel free to pass it on to family and friends. We are so ready to grow our little family!"

A Night With "Santa"

Adam was asked to be "Santa" at his uncle's ward party. He consented and had a blast. He said there was so much magic and belief in the kid's faces and eyes.

We got some good pictures =)

When the party was almost over Naomi turned to me and said,
"Daddy's being Santa tonight."
We started laughing so hard. She figured it out! She knows daddy too well.
McKay was scared of Daddy Santa but wasn't scared of the Santa
he saw the night before who was a  stranger!

November Happenings

November has been so so busy! I love the Holiday Spirit that's in the air, the weather has been awesome, and the kids make everything fun!

Naomi made her first Gingerbread House all by herself. Nana Chase hosts a gingerbread house-making party each year so Naomi showed us her mad skills. And she ate just as much candy as you see on her house.

Jazz game with the kids. I often forget that I brought my camera so this is the only pic we have of the night.

Chicken, anyone?

McKay is the sneakiest-food-snatcher of all-time. He is so quick to grab it and get it in his mouth. Boy sure loves to eat! So yesterday for lunch I was having some chicken and he was close by. I soon saw this cute face in front of me....

Jackson Hole

Adam took me on a fun weedend vacation to Jackson Hole, WY. It was one of the coolest places and most relaxing places I've been. We had a blast seeing the city (it's not too big =)), going out to dinner each night, (never happens in our normal life routine!), watching movies, and exploring the Grand Teton National Forest. It was amazing. Everyway you turn in that town it's a gorgeous view. and I think I took a picture of every view I saw the whole weekend.

My hair is doing the weird Kate Gosselin bangs...
